THE WEEKEND SPORTS REPORT 11-13-13 By DAMON SILK GIBSON

ITS THAT TIME AGAIN LADIES N GENTS ITS THE WEEKEND SPORTS REPORT WITH DAMON "SILK" GIBSON

LAST WEEK WAS A GREAT WEEK FOR MY BOLD PREDICTIONS GOING (4-1)……… HOPEFULLY I CAN KEEP THE BALL ROLLING THIS WEEK……

THE NBA HAS 11 GAMES ACROSS THE COUNTRY…….SATURDAY NOVEMBER THE 16TH…..WERE GOING TO FOCUS ON A HEAVYWEIGHT BATTLE IN THE EAST AND A SURPRISE TEAM OUT WEST…..

THE CHICAGO BULLS LOOK TO GET ON TRACK AS THEY TAKE ON THE UNDEFEATED INDIANA PACERS, AT THE UNITED CENTER.

COACH TOM Thibodeau HAS HIS DEFENSE PERFORMING AT A HIGH LEVEL EARLY IN THIS NBA SEASONON GIVING UP 92 POINTS PER GAME.

DERRICK ROSE WHO HAS BEEN BOTHERED BY A HAMSTRING INJURY LOOKS LIKE THE OLD DERRICK ROSE FROM HIS MVP SEASON…….TURNOVERS SEEM TO BE THE DOWN SIDE OF THE BULLS AS THEY LEAD THE LEAGUE IN TURNOVERS AND ROSE IS 6TH IN THE NBA IN TURNOVERS WITH ALMOST 4 A GAME.

THE PACERS LOOK TO FLEX THERE MUSCLES AS THEY COME IN UNDEFEATED AND A ROSTER THAT LOOKS LIKE TALL TREES ON THE COURT…..

WE ALL KNOW ALL-STAR GUARD PAUL GEORGE BUT I AM GOING TO INTRODUCE YOU TO LANCE STEPHENSON FROM!!!! (CINCINNATI)  STEPHENSON

IS BUILDING OFF HIS 2012 PLAYOFF PERFORMANCE COMING IN AVERAGING 14 POINTS PER GAME……WHERE HE REALLY MAKES HIS MARK IS ON THE DEFENSIVE END…….HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH GIVES THE ABILITY TO PLAY HARD NOISE ON BALL DEFENSE…..AND HE PLAYS THE PASSING LANES LIKE NONE OTHER.

LOOK FOR THIS TO BE A DEFENSIVE BATTLE……D.ROSE WILL HAVE A TOUGH TIME AGAINST THE LENGTH OF THE PACERS AND TO MUCH PAUL GEORGE IN THE FORTH QUARTER IM TAKING THE PACERS IN THIS ONE FOLKS……

FIRST YEAR COACH BRAD STEVENSON AND THE CELTICS TAKE A TRIP UP NORTH TO TAKE ON THE MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES FROM THE TARGET CENTER TIP OFF IS @ 8PM CENTRAL TIME…….

STEVENSON AND THE CELTICS HAVE A SIGNIFICANT WIN OVER THE MIAMI HEAT THIS SEASON BUT STILL HAVE ALOT OF WORK TO DO….

CELTICS WILL STILL BE WITHOUT ALL-STAR GUARD RAJON RONDO WHO IS STILL OUT AFTER A TORN ACL LAST SEASON…..REPORTS OUT OF BOSTON HINT RONDO HAS BEEN PARTICIPATING IN 3-ON-3 WITHOUT DR. PERMISSION……

CELTICS COME IN WITH THE 11TH RANKED DEFENSE AND 20TH RANKED ON OFFENSE….JEFF GREEN IS AVERAGING ABOUT 17 POINTS PER GAME, AND IS THE GO TO GUY ON OFFENSE AT LEAST UNTIL RONDO RETURNS……

CRAZY AS IT SOUNDS IM TAKING THE CELTICS LOOK FOR AVERY BRADLEY TO CAUSE PROBLEMS ON RICKY RUBIO…..K.LOVE WILL HAVE A BIG GAME BUT THE C'S PULL IT OUT LATE IN THE FOURTH……

(DUNK OF WEEK)

LAST WEEK ROOKIE GUARD VICTOR OLADIPO TOOK HOME THE DUNK OF THE WEEK HONORS

AND THIS WEEK'S WINNER IS DRUM ROLL PLEASE

LA LAKERS FORWARD

XAVIER HENRY

MOVING OVER TO THE NCAA….UNLIKE THE NFL EVERY GAME MATTERS IN COLLEGE AND WE HAVE A SIGNIFICANT GAME IN THE SEC SEEMS AS IF EVERY WEEK IS A BIG GAME IN THE CONFERENCE……HUH MANNNNNN!!!!!

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAME TAKES US TO JORDAN-HARE STADIUM ON THE CAMPUS OF AUBURN UNIVERSITY

WHERE THE UP AND DOWN 25TH RANK GEORGIA BULLDOGS TAKE ON THE SURPRISING ONE LOSS AUBURN TIGERS WHO COME IN RANKED 7TH IN THE AP POLL

AUBURNS QUARTERBACK NICK MARSHALL'S STATS ARE NOT EYE POPING THIS SEASON……BUT WHAT DOES JUMP OUT AT YOU IS HIS RUSHING STATS WITH 734 YARDS AND 7 TOUCHDOWNS…..

SOME SAY HEAD COACH GUS MALZAHN SHOULD BE THE LEAD CANDIDATE FOR COACH OF THE YEAR CONSIDERING THE FACT HE IS COMING OFF A (3-9) SEASON LAST YEAR…….BUT WE ALL KNOW EVERYTHING WILL COME TO LIGHT IN TWO WEELS IN THE ANNUAL IRON BOWL AGAINST ALABAMA

NOW YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT UNEXPECTED THE DOGS SEASON HAS BEEN EVERYTHING BUT UNEXPECTED…..SENIOR AND FOUR YEAR STARTER AARON MURRY HAS A CHANCE TO BREAK EVERY QUARTERBACKING RECORD FOR GEORGIA AND IN THE SEC…..BUT WHAT LOOMS OVER HIS CAREER IS NOT BEING ABLE TO WIN THE BIG GAME……INJURIES AT KEY SPOTS FOR THE DOGGS……HECK THEY EVEN HAD A RECEIVER TEAR A ACL ON A CELEBRATION C'MON BRUHHHH!!!!!!!

WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID YOUR GOING TO BE SHOCKED BY THIS ONE…..THE DOGGS IN A NAIL BITTER

NOW LETS TURN OUR ATTENTION OVER TO THE NFL…..LETS START OUT WITH WHAT MOST PEOPLE SEEM TO THINK WORST DIVISION IN THE LEAGUE…….THE NFC EAST

THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS WILL TAKE A TRIP UP I-95 AND TAKE ON THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES FROM LINCOLN FINANCIAL STADIUM….THE EAGLES COME IN TIED FOR FIRST WITH THE COWBOYS AN EXCITING OFFENSE WHICH RANKS 11TH IN THE LEAGUE…..AND EVERYBODY'S FAVORITE SHADY MCCOY IS RUNNING WILD IN FIRST YEAR HEAD COACH CHIP KELLY;S HIGH POWER OFFENSE……..

FORMER U OF A'S NICK FOLES IS LIGHTING UP THE STAT SHEET ONLY PLAYING IN A TOTAL OF 7 GAMES AND ONLY STARTING IN 4….I MEAN HE'S ONLY THROWN FOR MORE THAN 1200 YARDS AND HAS 16 TOUCHDOWNS WITH A PHAT GOOSE EGG IN THE INT DEPARTMENT….

THE REDSKINS STILL SIT IN THE THICK OF THINGS IN THE EAST EVEN HAVING A (3-6) RECORD….RUNNING BACK ALFRED MORRIS IS THE ONE BRIGHT SPOT THIS SEASON FOR THE SKINS…..COMING IN WITH 825 YARDS AND IS PROBABLY GOING TO SEE A SECOND STRAIGHT THOUSAND YARD SEASON…..

THE REDSKINS DEFENSE SIT'S RIGHT BEHIND PHILLY'S D GIVING UP NEARLY 400 PLUS YARDS A GAME….LOOK FOR RILEY COOPER AND ACTION DESEAN JACKSON TO HAVE BIG PLAYS DOWN FIELD BUT THE REDSKINS SOME HOW HANG AROUND AND WIN BY A FIELD GOAL (24-21)

LETS TAKE A TRIP TOWARDS HIGH ALTITUDE IN THE AFC WEST…WHERE THE UNDEFEATED KANSAS CITY CHIEFS TAKE ON THE DENVER BRONCOS….THE CHIEFS HAVE A TALL TASK THIS SUNDAY AS THEY TRY TO DO WHAT SO FAR NOT ALOT OF DEFENSES CAN DO WHICH IS STOP AND OR SLOW DOWN SIR PAYTON MANNING….

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR JACK DEL RIO COMES IN WITH THE NUMBER ONE DEFENSE……AND A DEFENSIVE FRONT THAT CAN REALLY CREATE HAVOC ON QUARTERBACKS…..AND A TALENTED SECONDARY LED BY UNDERRATED STRON SAFTEY ERIC BERRY….THE CHIEFS DEFENSE COMES IN LEADING THE NFL IN TAKE AWAYS……

BOTH OFFENSES CAN RACK UP YARDS IN TWO DIFFERENT

WAYS ALEX SMITH TAKES A CONSERVATIVE APPROACH…..WHERE SIR MANNING WANTS TO SCORE IN AT LEAST TWO MINUTES OR LESS…..

LOOK FOR JAMAAL CHARLES AND THE STRETCH RUN GAME TO KEEP THE CHIEFS IN IT……LATE GAME FIELD GOAL CHIEFS BY 3 (30-33)

WELL THAT CONCLUDES ANOTHER EDITION OF THE WEEKEND SPORTS REPORT I'LL BE ON A 170 HOUR BREAK BUT YOU'LL NEVER KNOW IT…….I'M DAMON "SILK" GIBSON AND ILL SEE YOU LATER…….
