A Strong debate that has been going on since Lebron James and the Miami Hear won the NBA Championship is a statement made by five time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant A " I feel as though we can take those guys." Referring to the 92 Dream Team Bryant was. A bold statement that caused headlines not nation wide but world wide for the fact that he was speaking on Olympic grounds. Is this statement accurate, true, disrespectful and or laughable all were various outlooks on this statement made. Players from the Dream team spoke up.
Like the competitors and Hall Of Famer's we know them to be they spoke up and actually made a joke of the situation. Former players such Michael Jordan, Charles Barley and Karl Malone stated that the game would not have even been close. Is this statement accurate, true disrespectful and or laughable? The thing is we will never know, games are not played on paper but what we can analyze is the level of competition that both teams went up against. I believe that is the only difference. Yes the 92 Dream team blew everyone out in it's Olympic trials who where they really playing against. The notable talents they where going up agianst was Toni Kukoc that was at best sixth man of the year, Arvydas Sabonis and Detlef Schrempf.
International Basketball has grown so much since 92 that the 2011 NBA finals MVP was won by an International player in Dirk Nowitzki something that was unheard of in 1992. So while we watch these games one thing we cant compare these teams by is the scores. I can go down a list of stars we have on international teams and some of them are on the same team. Marc and Pau Gasol, Tony Parker already mentioned Dirk Nowitzki and Manu Ginobli just to name a few. I personally believe that the 92 dream team would be able to win if they where to match up because of the big men they have in Ewing Robinson and Malone but mainly because of Jordan but I believe it will be a close game and the 92 team will be down for some portion of the game at some point. I Salute Kobe Bryant for making the statement that he made because by doing that he took vocal leadership of the USA Team and by doing that makes all of the young players play harder and not take this Olympic experience as a al star game or a brush over but as a serious situation knowing they are a target and the 92 dream team will be watching.These are two great teams and deserves the attention of debate and will continue to be a debated topic.

I had to do this... I love Lebron, I like Durant sometimes westbrook because they are good players... but it is a known face that the 2012 Olympic Team can not would not nd will not beat the 92 dream team....maybe a game but nothing more.
